Privacy policy
WillAi is run by William McIntosh in Auckland, New Zealand. This policy explains how we handle personal information under the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
What we collect
When you email us, call us or use the contact form (which opens your email app), we receive the details you choose to send, such as your name, business name, email address, phone number and message.
Installation discount code
When you request the installation discount code, we store your email address, the code, the date and the page you used, so we can honour the offer. We may contact you about the offer. To have your details removed, email [email protected].
How we use it
We use your details only to reply to you, discuss and provide our services, and keep a record of our conversations with you. We don't sell your personal information.
Where it's stored
This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Email is handled through our email provider. These providers may store data outside New Zealand.
Chat on this website
The chat assistant on willai.co.nz is an AI run on DocsBot (docsbot.ai). What you type, and any name, business, email or phone you choose to share, is processed and stored in WillAi's DocsBot account so Will can reply to you. Please don't share sensitive personal or payment details in the chat. To ask about or remove your chat data, email [email protected].
Chat assistants I set up for clients
If you chat with an assistant I've set up for one of my clients, your messages and any details you enter (such as your name, phone or email) are stored on DocsBot, the AI chat platform it runs on, in that business's own DocsBot account. DocsBot acts as a data processor and may store data outside New Zealand. The business is responsible for that information; if they've given me access to help look after their assistant, I use it only for that, and I don't sell or reuse it. Please don't share health or other sensitive details in a chat.
Your rights
You can ask to see or correct the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected]. If you're not happy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
